We re seeking an experienced Local Government Programme Officer.
The Programme Officer will provide support to the Programme Manager including administrative support. Post will entail working with public sector partners in the development and delivery of collaborative Estate projects and locality based asset management plans. The Programme Officer will also prepare monitoring reports and assist with the submission of future funding bids. There will be regular contact with the Local Government Association (LGA), Cabinet Office and government departments and occasional travel across the County will be required.
Educated to degree level or equivalent experience
Managing capital or revenue budgets Working with other local authorities, public sector bodies or partner agencies
Identifying funding opportunities and submission of bids Knowledge: Public sector procurement regime
Performance management - data analysis and reporting Project management systems and techniques
Microsoft office software suite
Skills and Abilities
Good inter-personal skills including negotiations
Good verbal and written communication skills
Ability to manage complex projects and prioritise competing work requirements
Ability to work to targets and tight deadlines
Ability to prepare and present reports and data
