Capital and Impairment Senior Analyst
- Lead and be accountable for the development of models and tools used to support the corporate objectives. This primarily relates to models/tools relating to the measurement and management of residential credit risk, but also includes models used to support impairment and product pricing.
- Lead and be accountable for the development and maintenance of statistical models, processes and procedures to enable the move to an Advanced Internal Ratings Based approach.
- Provide direction and support to Analysts and Senior Analysts on model development projects, sharing own knowledge and expertise to ensure models are developed effectively.
The skills and experience required for this Birmingham based Capital and Impairment Senior Analyst: Highly numerate and analytical Degree in Mathematics or statistics related subject (minimum 2:1) Extensive experience in a Risk Modelling role within Financial Services Extensive experience of statistical and data mining tools Strong knowledge of Internal Ratings based approaches Extensive experience of Excel High level of attention to detail enabling the production of analyses with a consistently high degree of accuracy Able to communicate complex subjects to Senior Management in a clear and concise manner, both written and verbally Ability to manage conflicting priorities and multiple tasks Able to work in a collaborative environment Eager to help with the solution of problems in a team-orientated environment Able to provide support and guidance to more junior members of the team
