SCE currently have an exciting opportunity to join the team as a Deputy General Manager at a 4-star Hotel and Spa near Stratford Upon Avon, Warwickshire.


Main responsibilities of the Deputy General Manager:

  • The Deputy General Manager will be expected to drive the business forward, ensuring the deliverance of high standards in service and team and guest care.
  • To be a proactive leader and be able to manage a team from the front, being a role-model, with direction, enthusiasm and professionalism.
  • Effective coordination of all departments through regular formal and informal contact.
  • Management of your team's: welfare; recruitment; training; supervision; development via formal processes and company procedures, in addition to your mentorship role.
  • Management of and full responsibility for all relevant HR, fiscal, legislative and administrative duties and a responsibility to attend relevant meetings as the role dictates.
  • A knowledge and control of all departmental sales, costs, payroll, operating expenses, capital expenditure and budgets.

Requirements of the Deputy General Manager:

  • The successful candidate will have at least 2 years’ experience in a similar 4-star hotel and ideally managed a minimum 2 Rosette food and wine service.
  • You should have a proven track record of leading a team to achieve performance and operational targets with an emphasis on Food and Beverage operations including weddings and ideally, but not essential, health club and spa.
  • You will have: the personality of a natural leader; self-motivation; natural team leadership; be positive with a can-do attitude and have first-class communication skills.
  • You can: set and maintain high standards; have a real eye for detail; are creative with flair, passion and an innovative approach to management; have the ability to think-outside-the-box.
  • You will have good standard of IT literacy and an excellent command of written and spoken English.
