Commercial Support Consultant
As a charity, we rely on our retail commercial operations to raise vital income for our work. That's why this role is so important. Working with Retail and General Managers in your region, you'll help them and their teams by providing support and expertise in retail to allow them to efficiently develop existing retail operations at their sites.
This is a fixed term contract due to end when the previous employee returns from maternity leave. At this point we cannot confirm exactly how long this contract will last, but it is unlikely to be more than 12 months.What it's like to work here

You'll be joining our National Trust Consultancy, where we share skills, talent and experience to enable our properties to benefit from an extraordinary range of creative and innovative thinking. You'll get out-and-about to properties, talking to and advising managers on how they can develop their retail operations, helping them to identify opportunities to improve their performance and growth.
What's more, you'll use your practical knowledge and insight to show them how to drive efficiency and make the most of their retail operations. Ultimately, your advice and guidance, not to mention your rigorous approach to operational delivery, will ensure that properties are able to improve their financial performance and maximise profit.

In order to be successful in this role you'll need to have:
- Experience in working across different sites and locations
- A commercially astute approach to retail operations
- Excellent coaching and mentoring skills
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Good influencing skills enabling you to engage with your internal stakeholders
- Creative ideas as to how we can maximise income from our retail outlets
- A solid experience in retail operations and retail management
