We are recruiting for a part time print ispecialist within the NHS (15 hours per week) 9am- 12pm Monday to Friday
Duties include
*Establishing each day's clinic and inpatient prep requirements using the Trust's PAS system and Batch Forms Printing functionality within the Clinical Portal.
* Producing Trust-determined forms packs via the Clinical Portal. and patient labels for every patient event (inpatient or clinic episode) that is within the scope of Xerox's engagement.
* Producing the agreed number of patient labels for every patient event (inpatient or clinic episode) that is within the scope of Xerox's engagement.
* Ensuring event forms and labels are available in advance of the patients' appointments, delivering the packs to agreed delivery drop off / collection point(s) by the agreed lead times.
* Monitoring the Outlook Clinic Prep Mailbox and ensuring additional patient bookings are provided for.
* Ensuring Waiting List Initiative and Extra clinic information is recorded to support additional invoicing to the customer.
* Cleaning, monitoring and maintaining Xerox centralised print devices within the department, including installing toner, changing waste containers, clearing paper jams and stocking paper trays.
* Promptly reporting print device faults to the Scan Centre Manager and arranging engineer call-outs as necessary.
* Reporting all issues identified with the preparation and printing of forms and labels or the operation of the printers to the Scan Centre Manager.
* Answering general telephone enquiries and face to face enquiries to the department.
* Assisting new staff by showing them the correct working practices and ensuring they are confident to carry out these new practices.
* Promptly ordering any print device consumables or supplies as required to complete the role.
* Providing absence cover where required for other members of staff within the Department.
* Training and retaining competence in Day Forward Prep and Scan procedures in order to be able to fully support the team during times of high demand.
* Undertaking all mandatory training as required by role, to include Xerox Business Ethics and Information Security training and any NHS/Trust training as necessary to maintain standards of service to current Health Records procedures and practices. This will include recording data quality on manual and computerised systems in accordance with agreed policies and procedures.
* Carrying out any other duties that fall within the grade for this job
* Computer literate
* Flexible- some weekend working may be required
* Proven ability to work under pressure handling multiple tasks to ensure timely completion of all activities
* Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions and demonstrate high level of attention to detail
* Ability to work effectively with and without supervision and as a part of a team
* Sensitivity to and experience of handling Medical Records and an understanding of Case Note structure and current policies governing filing of documentation within Patient Case Notes.
* Ability to undertake training to become competent to operate high-resolution scanners to the required competency
* Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
* Sound judgement to identify and report problems to management and contribute to resolving them
* Health & safety awareness and compliance
* Maintain preparation area in a neat and orderly condition
* Sound understanding of Data Protection Act / General Data Protection Regulations requirements
* Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Security clearance required
