An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Engineer to join the Project & Engineering team within Attachments reporting to the Engineering Manager to deliver JCB Attachments ambitious growth plans.

Overview of the role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Engineer to join the Project & Engineering team within Attachments reporting to the Engineering Manager to deliver JCB Attachments ambitious growth plans.

The successful candidate will join a highly focused, passionate expanding team. Taking a lead for the NPI function and have the opportunity to build, develop and grow the Attachments project function, allowing for future career development.

You will be responsible for delivering projects ensuring the cohesion, integration and direction of all business functions to ensure the timely and cost effective delivery of an Attachments and light equipment range for the JCB group.

Your Responsibilities as a Project Engineer:

•Working closely with all business functions you will plan and co-ordinate the delivery of all Attachments NPI projects through the JCB NPI process. These projects will be a mixture of brand new Attachments and light equipment which will play a critical part in our 5 year plan.

•Producing project metrics to allow project progress to be easily tracked.

•Project Risk management

•Project cost tracking and driving the various BOM’s

•Management of strategic cost down initiatives to improve business efficiency & profitability

•Ensure projects remain on track and design for cost / manufacture & assembly

•Analysis, reporting and presentation of all projects

•Day to day running of projects

•Liaison with internal / external customers & departments.

•Assume responsibility for given projects

About you:

You will have a strong people orientation, with team coordination experience and a track record in the supporting and steering of the project team members from across the business functions including; quality, manufacturing, engineering, sales & marketing and finance.

•Have experience of NPI project control, NPI documentation and the JCB Gate process.

•You should have experience of setting and delivering to defined objectives for yourself and others.

•You must be able to communicate, influence and present effectively at executive level; and with key stakeholders both internally and externally.

•You will possess high levels of energy, motivation, drive and commitment; have a resilient nature and a strong desire to succeed.

•Skilled in MS Office applications (Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

•Travel on business may be required periodically

•Ideally be HND / Degree or have relevant experience in technical field.
