Provide commercial support for the development of major projects and financial planning.

* Provide advice and support on contractual issues, to deliver the Clients vision for infrastructure and growth.

* Working with the service provider, to develop a robust risk management process for major projects in line with the clients corporate policy for managing risk, and ensure risk is considered in all aspects of service delivery.

* Deliver good commercial management to ensure compliance and execute robust contract administration change controls.

* Engage with key stakeholders and relevant project managers and the wider delivery/project teams to ensure that any issues on the major projects which may impact on performance are effectively managed through the contractual mechanisms that exist.

* Undertake value for money audits and support continuous improvement for the partnership.

* Assist on the development of price and cost modelling systems including market and benchmarking intelligence.

* Comply with HSSE policies and standards to maintain a safe workplace and ensure that the Client’s Provider(s) and their supply chain are also operating safely.

* In conjunction with the relevant Project Management/Lead Client, assess the cost management of the projects, review proposals, assess costs and develop an appropriate commercial strategy for the project(s) to ensure delivery of value for money.

* Contribute to the management and maintenance of project cost reporting system ensuring all financial information is managed and up-to-date and tracked with budget allowances, commitments and deviations highlighted and managed.

* Assess forecasts of project cost to completion and final value, review programme and progression.

* Continually monitor projected costs to completion in line with budget.

* Lead in ensuring effective records are maintained for commissioning and change control are reviewed, assessed, negotiated and issued in a timely manner.

* In partnership with the Project Management/Client team, undertaking project reviews and assessment of associated reports.

* Provide accurate monthly reporting of cost and value on the project(s) in line with the Company’s reporting process.

* Utilise the BIM to monitor progress, assess commercial reporting and information to support change management.
