This Shrewsbury home provides 52 week therapeutic care, in a residential setting for up to 4 children and young people of a female gender, aged between 11- 18 on admission. All admissions here are planned to ensure that the needs of the Child/Young Person to be placed, and those already placed, can be met. The home provides a 12 month, full-time treatment programme for children and young people who have experienced Child Sexual Exploitation. It is likely that children and young people who are admitted to this home will also have emotional, social and behavioural difficulties as a result of their family history and/their experiences. The Young People may have also experienced disruption to their education as a result of frequent Missing from Home (MFH) episodes, gang involvement and the grooming process. They may also have experienced violence, coercion and intimidation and have experienced abusive relationships.

To ensure that the Home meets the standards and expectations of its Statement of Purpose. To safeguard and promote the welfare of children and to ensure that the quality of care provided is consistent with Care Standards.

To establish and maintain a competent, motivated and confident staff team and to offer leadership, managerial direction, guidance and support to staff at all levels.

To ensure that the Home's policies and procedures are adhered to and that resources are managed effectively.

To develop systems for the efficient administration of the Home and to ensure that the fabric of the Home, equipment, appliances and grounds are maintained to the highest order in accordance with Health and Safety requirements.

To be the responsible person in managing child protection concerns and complaints. To liaise with Local Authorities, School, Health and other professionals to achieve best outcomes for young people. To actively promote the Home's equal opportunity and anti-discriminatory practice policies.

NVQ 4 in Caring for Children & Young People (actual or in progress) or equivalent

Driving Licence (A) & (I)

2 years working with children within the past 5 years plus 1 year a a Senior Level in residential care
