FRANCIS COMMERCIAL KITCHENS LTD – TRAINEE ESTIMATOR VACANCY – RAF-1047 Francis Commercial Kitchen Services Ltd are designer’s and suppliers of commercial kitchens, bars and food servery counters working on projects throughout the UK. Our order values can range anywhere between £100 and £2M pounds so the nature and value of projects you work on will be varied. Role Overview: A position has opened up for a Trainee Estimator who will be reporting to the Operations Manager whilst working closely with the sales and design teams. This is a great position for someone to learn this interesting and varied industry from the ground up. The primary function is to prepare quotations utilising Cater Quotes computer package to produce detailed quotations to our own customer drawings. This involves liaising with suppliers to determine best available prices. Close contact with our sales force and suppliers will be required, so good communication skills are a must. The position would also involve providing support to other administrative functions such as Order Processing therefore the candidate must be computer literate and capable of working in a fast-paced environment. We don’t expect the successful candidate to have any previous knowledge of our industry. We are seeking someone with good all round I.T. skills and a willingness to work hard, learn new things, and have a keen interest in being an important component in our business winning new contracts. Skills & Experience Required: Interpret customer tender documentation and in-house design layouts to produce quotations using our Cater Quotes software. Obtain prices from our internal and external supplier partners for bespoke fabrication, walk in refrigeration, extraction ventilation systems and any non-standard equipment. To work closely with our field sales team to assist them with the production of quotations. To notify and discuss with the relevant department / individual of errors / discrepancies in information and drawings during the process of production of quotations. To liaise with clients and in-house staff with regards to issuing of quotations. To perform any other duties required for the efficient operation of the department whilst ensuring continued personal development.
