Position: BIM Technician
Location: Sheldon, Birmingham B26
Job type: Full Time, Permanent
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £Competitive

About the role:

Our client has a great opportunity for a BIM Technician to join their design team in Sheldon, Birmingham.

The key element of the role is to produce and maintain building information models and drawings, which will assist in the overall design and construction process.


- Ensure Health & Safety is considered throughout all duties
- Have an excellent knowledge of CDM regulations
- Have excellent communication between the department and the wider construction team
- Ensure that company standards are adhered to at all times following the correct processes and procedures
- Work from engineers / designers’ calculations, rough sketches or drawings to produce accurate and structured drawings
- Visit site as required in order to gain practical experience of installation practices and apply these to improve design effectiveness
- Enhance own company knowledge by obtaining a brief understanding of the process involved on a project from tender through to final completion
- Stay up to date with technology and have a good understanding of how it is being used within the industry

About you:

- Working experience and fluent in CAD / BIM
- Proficient in the use of Revit / Micro-station
- Ideally have M&E experience

You may have experience of the following: BIM Technician CAD Technician, Revit, Micro-Station, Design, Modeller, BIM Coordinator, CAD Designer, AutoCAD, Engineering, Building Design, Building Service, Technician, CDM, Building Information Modelling, etc.
