Youth Justice Service Team Manager required to work with a West Midlands based public sector organisation. My client are seeking an experienced Youth Justice Service Team Manager to join their team on a temporary, full time basis for a period of 6 months.

As the Youth Justice Service Team Manager you will be working with Children's Services to provide an integrated approach to delivering services to achieve the principle aim of the Youth Justice Service. You will perform Youth Justice Service Team Manager duties associated with all service provisions within the team alongside other duties as below:

Responsibilities of the Youth Justice Service Team Manager include:

  • Leading and managing a team, including providing one to one support and supervision, observing practice, undertaking quality assurance of case files and completing and reviewing appraisals
  • Undertaking service delivery reviews, reporting any areas of concern as highlighted
  • Ensuring and overseeing the delivery of robust services to children and young people who offend in line with legislative requirements
  • Reducing and preventing youth offending, reducing the use of remands and custody and improving educational outcomes for young offenders
  • Ensuring that assessments, reports and intervention plans are completed timely and accurately
  • Implementing, monitoring, reviewing and evaluating intervention plans
  • Utilising management information systems effectively
  • Preparing reports and ensuring relevant records are maintained
  • Deputising for members of the leadership team as required

Required skills and experience of the Youth Justice Service Team Manager:

  • Experience of working with young people who have offended is essential
  • Previously line managing individuals who manage people who have offended is essential
  • Experience of Court work is essential
  • Must have experience with AssetPlus
  • Possess an Enhanced DBS disclosure
  • Must have a valid Driving Licence and access to your own vehicle, as travel to various locations is required
