We have an exciting opportunity for a Dietitian at our specialist CAMHS hospital in Stafford. This position is to provide treatment to patients suffering with eating disorders.

The essential elements of this position are to provide dietetic assessment, diagnosis and treatment programmes to individual patients. You will be an autonomous practitioner, holding a clinical caseload and working without direct supervision. Part of this position involves supporting less experienced staff and students and colleagues deliver the Company's contracted services.

Key Accountabilities include:

To provide expert advice, signposting, guidance and information to health and social care professionals, patients, carers, relatives or other non-professional contacts.
To take appropriate action when working with vulnerable adults and children following guidelines and Company procedures, liaising with appropriate agencies as required.
Maintain and contribute to the standards of professional care, ethics, policies and procedures.
To accurately record all patient intervention and plans in the medical notes.
Create and source Diet related resources.
Menu planning, designing with Catering Department.
Education workshops with staff, patients, carers and other professionals.
Induction training with new staff and update as required.
Implement standardised dietetic audit.
Attend regular dietetic supervision.
Contribute to the Nutrition Steering Group.
Facilitate the safe discharge of patients with nutritional and dietetic plans
Negotiate with carers, patients and others around individual case management.

This is a Clinical Role whereby you are required to provide a high level of care to patients with dietetic and nutritional requirements. Using highly developed knowledge & skills in the implementation and planning of individual dietary treatment plans taking into account patient's condition. Use specialist knowledge to inform sound clinical judgement/decision making for case management. You will contribute to multi-disciplinary clinical teams, communicating complex information to members of the teams. You will also have a good understanding of the patients emotional needs as this is a very key part of the role we play in the patients recovery.
