Electrical Installation & Maintenance Engineer (Workshop Equipment)

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an electrical installation & maintenance engineer to install and maintain design and technology workshop equipment in the educational sector.

The ideal candidate will be a JIB qualified electrician, with experience working in the commercial / industrial field. You will be required to work on construction sites both nationally and internationally and you will also need a valid CSCS card (or trade related equivalent).

Key qualifications, skills and experience:

• JIB qualified electrician
• Industry related experience working within the same or similar role
• Commercial / industrial installation skills (metal conduit, control wiring etc.???)
• A flexible and adaptable approach
• Naturally proactive work ethic
• Sound knowledge of 230/400V motors, starters and controls
• Full (and preferably clean) driving licence

Desirable experience

• C&G 2391 Inspection, testing and certification of electrical installations (or C&G 2394)
• Experience of working with wood and metalworking machinery in terms of moving, placing, setting up, commissioning, fault finding and repair
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
• Experience within the education sector
• Knowledge of current Health & Safety regulations - Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER)
• Knowledge of Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV) systems and requirements

This is a full time permanent position working 40 hours per week Monday to Friday inclusive. Monday to Friday with an unpaid break of 30 minutes each day.

You will be required to travel to and work at any of the Employers premises or the premises of customers, suppliers or associates within the UK at any time. Although this role covers nationwide.
