Job Title: Health and Social Care Assessor (Trainee or Qualified)

We are delighted to offer this role as a Trainee or Qualified opportunity - full training will be provided for the successful candidate to achieve the Trainer/Assessor award.

All candidates must hold Care Management experience to be considered.

Location: West Midlands - Must be flexible with travel

Salary: GBP20,000 - GBP24,000 (dependent on qualifications and experience)

Essential Criteria:
  • Must hold solid occupational competency in Care Management (Health and Social Care - Elderly) e.g Registered Manager / Home Manager / Dom Care Manager.
  • Confident to deliver Maths and English Functional Skills to Level 2 (training will be provided)
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Ideally - not essential; experience of delivering full Apprenticeships in Health and Social Care to level 5, along with Functional Skills to level 2.
  • Full, clean driving licence and use of a vehicle.
  • Must be flexible with travel and visiting learners outside of the normal 9-5 working hours due to some learners working late shifts.
Duties include:
  • Assess and support learners working towards Apprenticeships in Health and Social Care at levels 2, 3 and 5.
  • Deliver training and support learners with Functional Skills Maths and English to level 2.
  • Visiting/observing learners in their place of work to gather evidence towards their QCF Diploma.
  • Managing your diary efficiently to ensure timely visits and reviews are conducted.
  • Organise and maintain documentation on learners' progress.
  • Support, advise and motivate learners.
  • Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learner's needs.
  • Meet Assessor KPI's in terms of timely visits, quality paperwork and general administration.
  • Assessors are expected to take part in Learner Recruitment to maintain own caseload.
