Leaders in Care are proud to be working in partnership with a Pioneering Mental Health Rehabilitation Hospital that are currently looking for a Deputy Ward Manager (RMN or RNLD).

This is a fantastic opportunity to work as Deputy Ward Manager (RMN or RNLD) for a State-of-the-art Hospital in Shrewsbury that offers low secure and mental health rehabilitation services for men and women across 4 distinct wards.

We are looking for an Mental Health Nurse (RMN) or Learning Disability Nurse (RNLD) with at least 2 years' experience in Adult mental health services who are on the look out to join an award-winning, CQC Compliant Hospital that delivers highly effective rehabilitation & step down services in a dynamic and challenging environment

Key Responsibilities of the Deputy Ward Manager RMN / RNLD:

• Supervise the smooth running of the shift and deputising in the absence of the Ward Manager

• Take a lead role in clinical audit / governance on the ward and in the hospital

• Participating in ward rounds with GP's and other members of the MDT

• Actively coach and mentor staff to improve practice on the ward.

This opportunity is to work on a Ward that acts as one of the Step-down units from the hospitals main rehab wards. This newly commissioned ward offers lower relational security and direct access to a large garden area, whilst retaining continuity of staff team from the main ward to support patient transition.
