An academy in the centre of Evesham is working in partnership with us to recruit a teaching assistant to support one of their students on a one to one basis. This academy is a busy, diverse and bustling school at an exciting time in its history. Their recently appointed Head Teacher is delivering all kinds of exciting improvements to make sure the school is a credit to the community and delivers an excellent quality of Education for all.
Your new role
This teaching assistant job is a newly created role, supporting a pupil on the Autistic spectrum who requires one to one support during their school day. You will be supporting them in class, delivering one to one academic intervention, and hosting withdrawal sessions as required. You will need to confident modifying and differentiating resources and have strong behaviour management techniques to promote a positive learning environment. The teaching assistant role is full time, term time and would be for the duration of the academic year, subject to funding.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need to have experience in a similar SEND teaching assistant role and a good understanding of Autism. You will need to be educated to degree level or hold an NVQ Level 3. Experience is required for this role and you will be expected to work independently. You will need to be confident engaging with parents, outside agencies and teaching staff and work collaboratively to support the student's needs.
