Product Manager – Diagnostics - Contract – West Midlands

One of the leading international automotive suppliers is looking to add to their diagnostics content division with an experienced systems product manager who can lead, analyse and steer the diagnostics content.

The product range consists of handheld testers, PC and App based devices as well as solutions managing remote data collection from vehicles. Due to the complexities of the products, the requirements vary based on customer requirements, individual scope and market.

Analyse, plan and direct the diagnostics content
  • Manage and deliver validation phases to drive content improvement
  • Monitor global markets for relevant product activities
  • Deep understanding of diagnostic product range
  • Maintain alignment wih product stakeholders
  • Liase with project managers and engineering teams
  • Identify challenges and opportunities in industry/product markets
  • Design, drive and action test cases to validate customer releases and drive improvements
  • Manage user validation network in the UK
  • Interaction with end users to develop and shape diagnostic product range
  • Refine and deliver roadmap coverage

  • Automotive background with extensive understanding of vehicle diagnostics
  • Delivered product development plans in similar environment
  • Experienced user of O.E and aftermarket diagnostic equipment
  • Understand vehicle data communications
  • Flexibility to travel in the UK and overseas

  • Understanding of project management
  • Customer facing automotive role would be beneficial
  • Create and present reports to management
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
