We have an outstanding exclusive opportunity for a Barristers Practice Manager to join this market-leading national Barristers' Chambers, based in beautiful central Birmingham offices.

In this fantastic and varied Barristers Practice Manager opportunity, you will be tasked with working with the Barristers to ensure that all cases are allocated fairly and effectively. As the Barrister Practice Manager, you will make sure that the Chamber's administrative responsibilities are overseen efficiently, as you will manage the diaries of multiple Barristers, providing them with key information about their cases and workloads. In this fast-paced and rewarding opportunity, you will answer telephone or email enquiries from solicitors regarding barrister availability to provide counsel.

As the Barristers Practice Manager for this highly respected Chambers, you will accurately input and log briefs, papers and instructions onto the internal case tracking system, with outstanding attention to detail. You will also process any additional vital information correctly onto the internal system, whether it arrives by email, letter or telephone. With a meticulous and diligent outlook in that you attempt, you will record any other key pieces of information on behalf of Barristers, such as time spent on cases and important conversations that may impact the case or its billing.

In this truly fast-paced and challenging opportunity where no two days will be the same, you will negotiate and then invoice for Barrister's fees in privately funded cases, as well as assessing and billing for publicly funded cases, whilst liaising with the credit control department with regard to fee collection, when necessary. As the Barristers Practice Manager, you will also attend listings hearings to attempt to obtain the more favourable dates for Chamber diaries. In a role that will require a genuine "roll your sleeves up" attitude, you will assist your colleagues with their workloads over the busier periods, or to provide cover due to holidays or sickness.

For this exceptional Barristers Practice Manager opportunity, you will need extensive previous experience in a similar Barristers' Chambers environment. As you will manage a caseload of at least 70 cases at any given time, the ability to juggle ever-shifting priorities whilst staying calm under pressure will be vital for this exciting role. An outstanding written and verbal communicator, you will also need to be experienced at using the relevant software and systems that are commonly used in Barrister's Chambers. With a keen analytical mind and outstanding attention to details at all times, you will need to be experienced at handling confidential data in reliable and sensitive manner.
