Department Description

To lead the Service Design function in UK Managed Services which provides bid support, new service design, sales framework agreement & catalogue sales management, integration and technical design in support of the Airwave Service.

Job Description

• Create, implement & develop the Service Design strategy for UK Managed Services.
• Identify & implement best practice and improvements to drive customer satisfaction through provision of a great customer experience.
• Leadership of a multi-disciplinary & highly skilled team including technical and customer facing managers, professional Engineers, technical experts and process specialists.
• People cost centre management.
• Service portfolio management including development and maintenance of contractual catalogues.
• Sales framework agreement maintenance to meet sales team requirements.
• Lead the Propositions Development Process and ensure effective dialogue between the sales, technical & service teams.
• Achievement of revenue & growth targets from catalogue orders.
• Service and technical design bid support.
• Service and technical design of new solutions and services ensuring compliance with ISO 9001, 20001 & 27001 standards.
• Transition of new solutions and services to in-life.
• Technical and Service design process ownership ensuring compliance with ISO 9001, 20001 & 27001 standards.
• Technical Design Authority for Airwave's end-to-end services for each of the main emergency services customers.
• Enterprise architecture and associated solutions design.
• Build and integration of IP networks for the delivery of service to customers.
• Service architecture including process and procedure development and maintenance.
• Ownership within UKMS of technical telecommunications standards (e.g. ETSI WG4 & 3GPP SA6) and interface into associated MSI Standards groups.

Basic Requirements

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Able to write clearly and succinctly in technical and non-technical formats.
• Possesses knowledge in the areas of emergency/disaster management, physical security, risk management and business continuity.
• Ability to communication complex technical problems in business terms.
• Knowledge of LMR and LTE systems.

• 5+ years' experience in Security Management.
• Knowledge of ISO27001 implementation.
• Experience in dealing with Government customers and representatives and translating what they want into operational requirements.
• Understanding of and experience with modern network security practices and solutions.
• CISSP, or equivalent industry certification.
