Technical Support Engineer
Renowned manufacturer of high specialised turning solutions is now seeking a Service Coordinator to join their team. Responsible for co-ordinating the day to day activities, for a busy Machine Tool Service Department within the UK.
? Coordination of Service Engineer's day to day activities including issuing jobs
? Receive inbound phone calls and place on the internal systems
? Liaise with the Procurement Department in ordering spare parts
? Categorising and resourcing correct labour resource according to geographical need
? Handling calls from Clients, Engineers and Suppliers with regards to on-going reactive or PPM work
? Requesting Purchase Orders and Job Numbers for all service work
? Working closely with Engineers, Customers, Suppliers, Procurement Department and Service Manager
? Providing support and machinery problem solving over the phone.
Machine tool / engineering industry experience will be an advantage but not essential. Applicants should have excellent communication skills to deal with Customers and Suppliers. Good IT skills are also essential. The successful applicant will also be expected to carry out other office duties as part of a busy office, as and when required.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience includes:
? Proficient IT skills, to include good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
? Must have previous experience within the Engineering /Machine Tool sector
? Good understanding of CNC controlled machinery
? Good communication/organisational skills
? Knowledge and understanding of engineering industry preferable
? Able to deal with multiple priorities
