Jump Lane Recruiter are recruiting to a Deputy Care Manager to join one of our clients who are a specialist, independent social care organization who operate a number of residential and supported living unit. We are looking for caring, enthusiastic and dedicated team players with a can-do approach who really care about the needs of young people.

This is a rewarding opportunity to work with children in a residential care setting, providing day to day support, guidance and activities to children and teenagers, their aim and yours should be to transform the lives of looked-after children. Applications are therefore welcomed from experienced Deputy Care Manager Workers with proven ability to support young people who have been the victims of trauma and are extremely vulnerable.

Essential Job Requirements

* Ability to lead staff teams to provide a high level of care.

* Provide a safe environment for the young people in care.

* Ensure your record keeping and administrative duties are up to date and organized for the managers review.

* Ability to manage the home in the absence of the Registered Manager.

* Experience leading or managing staff in a residential childcare setting.

* Be flexible and able to undertake shift work including weekends and sleep-ins.

* Full UK driving licence and a car available for work use.

* Diploma Level 3 qualified in Children and Young Person's Workforce, Social Work Degree or equivalent.

* Up to date knowledge of the current legislation governing the sector.

* Experience of Ofsted Inspections.

* Experience of professionals meetings and working contributively with the professional network.

Desirable Attributes

* Level 2 or Level 5 Team Leader or Management qualification.

* Understanding of attachment and trauma in relation to young people.

* Experience in a therapeutic setting.

* Proven success of development of staff teams and individuals

Salary: GBP24,474.15 - GBP25,008.19
