Modern practice in the West Midlands seeks a Conveyancing Legal Secretary on a full time, permanent basis.

Working within the practice’s busy Coventry office, the successful secretary will deliver comprehensive administrative support to fee earners and manage a varied and often time-sensitive workload with minimal supervision. Previous experience in conveyancing will therefore be essential.

Responsibilities

- Setting up new files
- Audio and copy typing
- Liaising with clients and external professionals
- Handling enquiries in person and over the telephone
- Preparing and reviewing documentation
- Diary management
- Submitting searches
- Making applications to the Land Registry
- General administrative duties including photocopying and filing
- Maintaining high levels of confidentiality at all times

The Candidate

- Applications are welcomed from legal secretaries with a minimum of one years’ experience gained within conveyancing
- Possesses outstanding verbal and written communication skills across all levels
- Works well under pressure to meet tight deadlines whilst maintaining high levels of accuracy
- IT Literate with previous case management experience advantageous
- Has a fast and accurate typing speed and confident telephone manner
- Is professional, personable and flexible
