This new fundraising post is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled and experienced fundraiser to support Extratime's vital work with children and young people. This is an exciting time to join our friendly team and help drive the success of our fundraising strategy, which is poised for growth.

Extratime is an award-winning charity providing play and leisure activities for hundreds of children and young people with and without disabilities across Brighton & Hove and West Sussex. At Extratime clubs and holiday schemes, children and young people with disabilities, complex medical needs and conditions such as autism, have the specialist support they need to have fun, try new things and make new friends. Families consistently tell us that that Extratime is their life-line. The specialist care we provide broadens horizons for children and young people. For their families, Extratime's after school clubs and holiday schemes also alleviate some of the extreme pressure of caring for a child with a disability.

About the role

You will quickly develop an understanding of Extratime, our work and our values. Working alongside the CEO and Senior Trust & Foundations Fundraiser, you will build on the foundation we have established to make an immediate impact on the lives of children with disabilities and their families in Brighton and Hove and West Sussex.

To ensure the most efficient use of Extratime's resources, we prioritise high value fundraising. The main focus of this role will be to support the Senior Trust & Foundations Fundraiser by writing funding applications to a range of Charitable Trusts and Foundations and other grant making bodies. The role also incorporates the management of a small programme of Community Fundraising, therefore offering a varied work load.

This is a great opportunity for the right person to develop and grow the role to achieve long term funding success as Extratime continues to grow and change to meet the needs of our young service users and their families.

About you

You are an experienced Fundraiser, with a strong track record for writing successful, targeted funding applications. You have excellent communication and influencing skills and are adept at building and managing relationships with a diverse range of people. Writing compelling funding applications is strength, as is analysing, selecting and presenting relevant data to support your case.

You work well as part of a small team, collaborating with colleagues across multiple disciplines to achieve goals. Most importantly, you share Extratime's passion and commitment to supporting children, young people and their families.
