Domestic Abuse Housing Advocate
Stoke-on-Trent - City Wide
GBP18,000
Permanent, Full Time (37.5 hours per week)
Our client is looking for a non-judgemental and determined individual to help their domestic abuse survivors find a new home and support them to thrive.
Working on an agile basis at various offices and visiting customers' homes around North Staffordshire, you will work with adults and families who have complex needs to identify and coordinate tailored support. You will work closely with other agencies and local authorities.
Alongside this, you will work with other homeless teams and out of hours services to make sure domestic abuse victims are given appropriate support and accommodation, based on their needs and circumstances.
The role also includes delivering training to housing team to make sure they are confident asking the relevant questions around domestic abuse and can deal with any disclosures from customers.
