We have immediate opportunities available for a Commis Chef to work within our expanding client in Redditch, Worcestershire.
The ideal candidate will need to possess previous experience working within a very busy kitchen environment managing a strenuous workload.
Job Description
Specific Duties:
Preparation, presentation and cooking of food for all service areas within the complex i.e. Al a carte restaurant, banqueting suites, conference rooms, pastries, Bar/Grill menu and room service menu to the standards laid down by the company by using all fresh produce.
Measurement & Control:
* Minimize all forms of waste
* Maintain and promote food hygiene
* Clean all relevant areas
* Minimize customer waiting times and maximize customer satisfaction
Quality:
* Maintain an open and friendly atmosphere within the working environment
* Maintain designated levels of hygiene
* Present food in an appetizing
* Report any defective equipment
* Handle and maintain knives
* Receive, handle and store deliveries
Development:
* Develop, create and maintain effective working relationships
* Train new staff when required
* Contribute to personal and staff development
* Attend training sessions when required
* Be committed to Investors In People standards
Health & Safety:
* Maintain a safe and secure working environment for staff and customers
* Use cleaning materials in line with COSHH regulations
* Be familiar with staff action plan in the case of fire
* Maintain personal health and hygiene
* Ensure you have working knowledge of all fire procedures
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday plus weekends - 14:00 until 22:00. You will be required to work some weekends in the month on a rotational basis and as required by the business.
