You will be joining a leading service provider, who offer Lloyds of London insurance syndicates and global insurance companies a range of technical and administrative support functions with regards to binding authority business.
A binding authority is an agreement in which an insurer gives full authority to an agent (typically an insurance broker) to act on their behalf for the purpose of underwriting. Once the agent has binding authority, they are legally allowed to sell policies on the insurer's behalf.
You will be part of a new team being built in the Stoke on Trent office and there will be the opportunity to learn new skills, develop your insurance market knowledge and train to understand complex, technical functions pertaining to the global insurance market.
This role will focus on effective management of binding authority business on behalf of insurers and involve a variety of tasks and responsibilities. Through training and growing knowledge the role provides excellent scope to progress and develop.
Our client is not necessarily looking for candidates with specific binding authority experience. They are prepared to provide a full training program and support to develop the required technical insurance knowledge and skills.
They do need candidates to have very strong Microsoft Excel skills - Intermediate / Advanced level.
Some working experience within the financial services sector or an office environment would be a bonus.
This would be an ideal opportunity for graduates.
A desire to build a long term career within insurance together with a willingness to learn new skills and knowledge is essential.
