General Maintenance Operative
General Maintenance Operative required for permanent contract in Stoke
Your new company
A stoke based charitable foundation, providing housing and support to ex-offenders, older people and those experiencing financial difficulties.
Your new role
You will be responsible for carrying out minor repairs and decoration within occupied properties and assisting with furniture deliveries and installations.
You will also ensure all tools and equipment are accounted for, report unsafe conditions, damage or near misses to the appropriate persons within company guidelines and monitor and complete all documentation accurately for all works carried out ensuring quality systems are adhered to.
Alongside this, you will also be required to support clients and volunteers who will are developing their skills as part of the charities services.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have previous experience in a similar role completing a wide range of maintenance and repairs.
As the foundation supports ex offenders, ideally you will have worked in a similar role previously.
No formal qualifications are necessary, however City & Guilds or NVQ II in a trade would be advantageous.
This is a mobile role and use of a company van will be supplied during working hours, a full clean UK driving license is required. You will also hold a current enhanced DBS check.
What you'll get in return
Working hours are Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week, salary starting at £17,500.
