You will be working within a large, independent secondary school based in Wolverhampton. The school is top performing within the area, given 'excellent' in their last inspection. All their teaching and expert staff create a collaborative and welcoming environment, with small class sizes, that ensures all students are treated as individuals. This is a full time teaching role.
Your new role
In your new secondary teaching job you will be expected to plan interesting and challenging Science lessons that will engage pupils and you will have the natural ability to deliver them with confidence and enthusiasm. You will need to be experienced teaching Chemistry definitely to KS4, with the possibility of KS5 . The role is available to start from February half term. The role is full time for the rest of the half-term.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be a Secondary Science Teacher you will need to have qualified teacher status, or be looking to complete your induction year. You will also need to have recent experience within a classroom setting in the last five years and be up to date with recent curriculum changes. You will need to be a creative and positive teacher who is able to embrace new surroundings and situations, whilst demonstrating a professional manor at all times. You will have strong classroom management skills with the ability to adapt to unfamiliar plans and timetables. It is imperative that you have good communication skills as this is crucial when speaking to other members of staff and people in the school.
