TRANSPORT CUSTOMER SERVICE OPERATOR – IMMEDIATE START

£17,000 to £18,000 per annum

Immediate Start

Monday to Friday 9AM to 6PM

We have an opening for a TRANSPORT CUSTOMER SERVICE OPERATOR based in Wednesbury (WS10) working for a large Transport & Logistics organisation.

The role of TRANSPORT CUSTOMER SERVICE OPERATOR will be working Monday to Friday 9.00am – 6.00pm, paying a salary of £17,000 to £18,000 and requires a candidate who is hard working, dedicated and loyal and looking to build a career in the Transport & Logistics industry.

Full on the job training will be offered to the successful candidate. The role requires a candidate who is confident, outgoing and personable who is able to work well as part of a busy, fast paced team and who can communicate across all levels. Good general IT skills and an ability to be organised and work in an ever changing environment is essential

The duties of the role will be;

·Answer the phone and deal directly with customers either by telephone or electronically

·Check that all Overnight deliveries have shipped/delivered and inform customers

·Monitoring the Northern Ireland Subcontractor / service provider making sure all service levels are been hit.

·Respond promptly to customer enquiries

·Handle/resolve customer complaints,

·Raise non conformances and report to Manager.

·Account management for allocated clients, including service calls, KPI Reports

·Keeping a list of daily service call/ update and resolving issues you might find.

·Pass any sales/rate enquiries to the appropriate team member

·European freight forwarding, obtain quotes and quoting customers (After job training)

·Receive, enter and confirm bookings onto the I.T. system

·Price up the Northern Ireland trailer packs on a daily basis (Customer and Subcontractor charges)

·Scan in proof of deliveries on a daily basis report any issues.

·Pass urgent collections straight to the transport team after confirmation

·Assist in the management of the Northern Ireland groupage trailer service, and be able to complete all aspects of this position independently, after training has been provided

Previous experience of working in a Transport / Traffic office would be an advantage though not essential. Excellent Customer Service skills and use of the English language is essential for the role.
