Drive Force are looking for a an experiecned Transport Planner

The main purpose of this job is to efficiently and effectively plan the nationwide fleet to perform ADR collections, ensuring that all planned work is compliant with current legistation inc Road Transport Directive &* EU Drivers hours, ensure adherence to heath and safety, enviromental and Operators Licence compliance, whilst delivering and maintaining first class customer service against pre-denfied business KPI's.

  • Plan dicisional rescources on a local and national basis
  • Identify underperformacne both of team members and service function, implementing corrective and disciplinary procedures as appropriate
  • Proactively seeking continious improvement
  • Ensure all transfer stations are allocated dsesired outbound loads
  • Plan multi drop / consolidated loads to agreed KPI's and service levels
  • Deputiise for planniong supervisor when necessary
  • Endure planned work is acheiveable in regards to Road Transport Directiv and EU Drivers rules & regulation
  • Daily liaison with customer service / colleagues to ensure agreed SLA's are met
  • Scheduling of work on Central System
  • Ensure that vehicle management, including liaison with fleet safe vehicle operations, wheel security, and monitoring of vehicle gross weights is under taken and compliant
  • CPC National or International
  • Dealing with daily operation problems
  • Ensure that all administrative tasks associated with the operation are completed to required standard
  • Promotion of a good working relationship witrh both internal and external customers

The following skills & experience are essential for this role:

  • Excellent Geographical Knowledge
  • Transport industry knowledge
  • Have knowledge of Transport Directive and crrent drivers hours
  • Customer service skills
  • Flexible attitude to work
  • Full clean driving licence
  • Prepared to travel to other locations as and when required to attend meetings / provide cover

The Following would be essential:

  • Waste industry knowledge
  • Communication skills and presentation skills
  • GCSE or Equivalent in Mathematics and English Language
