Audit Senior / Manager / Shrewsbury / £30,000 - £45,000 neg

The Company

My client a leading multi-partner, regional firm of Chartered Accountants who are going through a period of evolution, seek to recruit experienced Audit staff from Senior (part or newly qualified,) through to Manager. You will be joining a progressive people focused firm, who seek to continue to grow and have identified various new markets / areas to expand into.

The Opportunity

Depending on your level you will manage an allocated client portfolio ensuring that all quality and budgetary expectations are met. If at manager level you will actively manage team members to maximise their performance.

Duties may include:

To act as a role model demonstrating high standards of work performance, achievement and conduct To develop and coach employees to maximise their work performance To carry out assignment and staff appraisals, providing regular performance feedback to individuals To encourage and motivate staff to achieve team and business goalsTo undertake all aspects of delivering client audit assignments- to complete the planning of audit assignments to include the drafting of work programmes and appropriate time budgets
- to produce service plans for Manager and/or Partner approval

- to co-ordinate activity at client premises and communicate with the client and/or Manager issues raised through the audit process

- to execute audit projects in high risk areas

- to meet reporting timetables and prepare key client reporting documents

- to review work undertaken by junior staff and highlight points for review

- to finalise all areas of an audit for Manager and Partner review, seeking input for areas of concern and judgement

To prepare statutory accounts and tax computationsTo attend client meetings, as requested To complete ad-hoc client assignments as requested by a Manager and/or PartnerTo manage an allocated client portfolio - to carry out the initial audit planning meeting agreeing the timetable of activity

- to ensure that staff resource is effectively planned and utilised in line with client priorities

- to review audit files prepared by audit team with particular attention to financial statements and key risk areas

- to ensure that all reporting deadlines are monitored and met, advising clients accordingly.
