Project Engineer – Design The Company A privately owned business operating for 35 years, the Bri-Stor Group consists of Bri-Stor Systems, Alpha Manufacturing and Atlas Coatings. Employing approx. 400 people across the group, the business has experienced significant growth and success over the last few years. With a strong order book and forecastBri-Stor Systems are looking to strengthen our engineering team with the recruitment of a Project Engineer. The Role Reporting to the Engineering Manager the successful individual will be responsible for the design, development and project management of vehicle storage and security systems to a customer specification. Key Accountabilities; To offer technical support to the sales team at customer reviews as required. Production and maintenance of manufacturing drawings for both internal and external manufacturing operations. Develop 3D CAD models of agreed customer specification. Production and maintenance of general assembly drawings for internal assembly operations. Production and maintenance of Bill of Materials. Support in the production of Standard Operating Procedures for large running contracts. To offer ongoing technical support for the prototype/production teams. Manage first off builds through prototype and ensure BOMs and drawings are updated. In conjunction with the sales representative, the successful candidate will take ownership of each project as a point of contact for a large number of interested departments. In addition to the above, the successful candidate will; Support in the ongoing development of the engineering department systems and procedures. Monitor whole project costs and carry out VAVE exercises where necessary. Contribute to DFMEA activities. The Person Working within a team of nine project engineers, the successful candidate must show a good ability to communicate, be able to work in isolation on the majority of projects, but able to work in larger groups as either the lead or supporting engineer on a specific project. The ideal candidate would meet the following key criteria; Demonstrate previous experience working in Project/Design Engineer roles. Able to manage multiple projects running simultaneously. Proficient in the use of 3D CAD software. Experience of using data management/ERP systems. Comfortable working and communicating with numerous internal departments along with customers and suppliers. Ideally the candidate would also meet the following additional criteria; Experience of working with or designing sheet metal components. Experience of SolidWorks. Experience using Sage X3 ERP system.
