My client is looking for an Electrician to undertake electrical installation, repairs and maintenance work to provide high quality, 'right first time', cost effective building services to the business and its customers while ensuring they adhere to the Unitas, Health and Environment Management System ('SHEMS') requirements at all times.

Key accountablities

* Identify and undertake electrical work as directed

* Liaise with other employees of the Company as necessary in order to complete specified works

* Ensure levels of productivity and work within the required timescales/categories or to targets

* Receive, plan and complete job orders on time and to quality

* Notify team leader of any associated access issues

* Ensure that all relevant documentation is processed and systems are completed in a timely manner

* Take a pro-active approach, e.g. SUSA (Safe and Unsafe Acts) and reasonable care for the health and safety of themselves and others who may be affected by their activities at work, including occupants, visitors and members of the public

* Co-operate with their line manager or any other person so far as is necessary to enable them to comply with any duty or requirement imposed on them by any statutory provision or by any site or company/ division's rules

* Report on any hazards or unsafe practices to their team leader

* Undertake visual inspection of all tools, equipment and where appropriate vehicles ensuring they work correctly, reporting any defects. Additionally, comply with formal periodic testing checks for all equipment

* Act in a professional manner at all times

* Ensure protective clothing and Health and Safety equipment provided is used correctly and when required, in accordance with risk assessments

Person Specification:

* Qualification at NVQ 3 or equivalent

* Qualification City & Guilds 2361 part 1,2 and AM2 or equivalent

* Qualification 17th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations

* Qualification City & Guilds 2391 Testing & Inspection or equivalent

* Asbestos Awareness in accordance with SHEMS

* Holder of appropriate CSCS card

* PASMA Qualification (Desirable)

* Ability to read Construction Drawings (Desirable)

* Experience of working within a Local Authority environment (Desirable)
