Position Summary: This is a newly created position (Part-time) due to continued business expansion and would suit someone with extensive payroll and book-keeping knowledge. This is a part time role with working hours between 25-30 hours per week and will be based at Warwick.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Process company's payroll every pay period
  • Maintain payroll processing system and records by gathering, calculating and inputting data onto Sage Payroll
  • Answer staff questions about salaries, pensions, deductions and overtime calculations
  • Adhere to payroll policies and procedures and complies with relevant law
  • Honour confidentiality of employees' pay records
  • Complete payroll reports for record-keeping purposes and managerial review
  • Report organisation's PAYE and National Insurance obligations and set up BACS payments in a timely manner
  • Report organisation's pension liability under the auto-enrolment scheme and set up BACS payments in a timely manner
  • Set up timely BACS payments for transfer of salary to employees' bank accounts
  • Update Sage and any other relevant system with daily income by verifying, allocating and posting transactions to correct departments
  • Assist in setting up monthly preparation, reconciliation and payment for dealer commissions, and underwriters premiums.
  • Assist in monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations
  • Preparation of quarterly VAT return

Relevant Experience and Education:

  • 3 years demonstrable Payroll and Accounting experience
  • AAT or equivalent desirable
  • Proven experience in Payroll and Book-keeping role within a busy, diverse environment
  • Must be proficient in Sage Accounts 50, Sage Payroll and Excel
  • Must be adaptable, flexible and trustworthy with great attention to detail
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently
