SENIOR FINANCE ANALYST - PERMANENT - GBP30-40K - ROYAL LEAMINGTON SPA

Greenwell Gleeson has been tasked with recruiting a Senior Finance Analyst to join an established business in Warwickshire. The purpose of the role is to ensure the region has the information and insight to deliver improved sales and margin, reduced costs and a great customer experience. Managing the production of timely and accurate information to the business through first class provision, analysis and interpretation of financial information. Driving improvement in processes and systems wherever possible.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Partnering the regional team to drive business performance by providing insightful, clearly presented analysis and suggest solutions that drive decisions and actions.

  • Lead the conversation during area reviews highlighting opportunities for improvement, and comparators to best practice elsewhere

  • Provide support to area managers to enable them to control costs by providing detailed analysis and progress to date versus commitments.

  • To assist in the development of analytical and reporting models and tools.

  • To prepare ad hoc financial analysis as required by the business, including development of KPI's for the region.

  • Tailor information to the audience so that analysis immediately highlights the "so what next".

  • Identify internal best practice / data to provide excellent analysis and relevant benchmarking for performance.

  • Support and collaborate with other parts of the UK Finance Team to ensure a "one team approach" operates effectively.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Capable of executing tasks and projects to a high standard

  • Supporting business leaders to make the right financial and commercial decisions in the best interest

  • Ability to communicate and explain complex financial concepts to non-finance people

  • Capable of influencing regional directors and area managers

  • Improving the impact and quality of financial reporting on business performance

  • Change agent to ensure key operational, commercial and financial targets are delivered

  • Building partnerships and maintaining strong relationships with all senior managers and their teams

  • Flexible approach to work, demonstrating a willingness to learn

  • Strong excel and data reporting skills

  • Tailors information delivery; simplifies complex concepts.

  • Is tenacious and solves problems in the face of adversity or resistance.

  • Studying towards a professional accountancy qualification (ACCA or CIMA)
