About the role
Sense has a great opportunity for passionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as a Specialist Support Worker in Malvern. We have a number of permanent, full and time roles available working up to 37.5 hours per week across both day and night shift patterns.
As a Specialist Support Worker you will work with a team to support seven people with sensory impairments and communication difficulties to lead full and active lives. Each person has a unique plan of support that covers their personal care, domestic, social and emotional needs. The role requires you to be fun loving, energetic, and prepared to support people in a wide range of activities. You will support people throughout all aspects of their life, with a do ‘with’ not ‘for’ approach.
Sense also supports people to take part in some of our amazing arts and wellbeing activities - including football, swimming, cycling, music sessions, sailing, cooking, day trips, home visits, concerts, festivals and holidays.
Experience is not necessarily required for this role as we are able to support you and provide you with an excellent induction. However, it is really important that you are able to demonstrate the right values and behaviours to enable you to make a difference to people’s lives.
A full UK driving licence is desirable for this role.
Flexibility is needed as working times do vary and will include evenings, weekends and sleep-ins; we will however provide you with a rota in advance so you can plan your life accordingly.
