Sector: Education

Contract Type: Permanent, part time

Tettenhall College is seeking to appoint a creative, well-organised self-starter to take the important first steps in establishing an Alumni, Foundation and Development Office.

The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing the firm foundations of this exciting project.  In the first instance, he/she will be responsible for improving links with the Old Tettenhallians – the College community of former pupils, parents and staff.  Furthermore, the person will be responsible for supporting the School’s current development strategy and playing a significant role in the ambitious, forthcoming fundraising campaign.

As this is a new post, the College is looking to expand the Alumni, Foundation and Development organisations over the coming years and we welcome applications from those attracted by this opportunity to develop a role and increase their hours accordingly.  Ultimately, the successful candidate may assume the full management and leadership responsibility for Alumni relations and will lead and manage the School’s fundraising programmes.

The post-holder will report to the Head of Marketing but will also work with the Headmaster and members of the Senior Leadership Team in establishing this new role. The successful candidate will display both an eye for strategy and detail, be flexible and be able to work under their own initiative. He/she must have a friendly and engaging personality and possess excellent communications skills, both verbal and written.  A positive and customer-centric approach to all they do is essential. Experience in developing alumni relations, developing and implementing fundraising strategy and in events management are a positive but not mandatory.

Further information about the College and post can be found on our website: http://www.tettenhallcollege.co.uk/about-us/vacancies

Closing date for applications:              Sunday 27 January 2019
Interviews will be held:                         Friday 8 February 2019

Tettenhall College is committed to safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children. An enhanced DBS check will be undertaken on the successful candidate.  Full details of the School’s safeguarding policies and procedures are available on the school website.
