We are looking for an enthusiastic senior accountant to join our busy & growing accountancy practice.
The senior accountant position will work closely with our other accounts staff offering them support and guidance with their day to day tasks.
The position will also involve working closely with our clients to prepare both management and year end statutory accounts on a timely basis.
Our practice has been in business for over 12 years and had been trading independently 3.5 years. We are looking for a passionate and reliable individual to work within the practice and to assist in the development of the organisation and day to day systems to help us provide a high level of service to our ever growing client portfolio.
Respnsibilities & duties:
Responsibility for a portfolio of clients involving delegating work where appropriate and reviewing work completed by other members of the team.
Prepare statutory accounts for Ltd companies, LLP’s Partnerships and sole traders.
Preparation of business and personal tax computations
Prepare monthly and quarterly management accounts for a range of clients. This will take place both in our office and at our clients premises.
Reviewing and finalising VAT returns
Liaising directly with clients on various matters
In light of the new ‘MTD’ regulations managing our book-keeping department from an internal and external perspective by providing regular support to our existing staff and clients. A regular review of the work completed by our existing staff would also be expected offering advice on how they can improve.
At least 10 years’ experience in a similar role.
If qualified candidates must have at least 5 years’ experience post qualification in a similar role.
Competent in the use of Iris Accountancy Suite, Xero, Sage Accounts and Microsoft Excel Office.
Working hours are 37.5 hours per week which are flexible between the hours of 8am and 6pm Monday to Friday.
