A busy and vibrant specialist company have an exciting opportunity available for a part time Accounts Assistant on a permanent basis. Due to continuing growth they are looking to appoint a part time high-quality Accounts Assistant to join the finance team, who will report in to the Financial Controller based in Stoke on Trent.

Job Description:

Duties for the part time Accounts Assistant role will include:

* Responsible for sales ledger including weekly, monthly and quarterly invoice processing
* Invoice discounting including monthly reconciliation
* Usage tracking and statistics
* Lead on improvements to sales ledger processes
* Contract profitability calculations
* Bank reconciliation
* Bacs payment run
* Credit card reconciliation
* VAT returns
* Resolution of client complaints and invoice queries
* Internal recharges
* Intercompany transactions
* Month end reports

For the part time Accounts Assistant role, it would be good to see candidates with:

* Previous role as Assistant Accountant or Accounts Assistant
* AAT qualified or similar (or working towards)
* Excel skills including pivot tables and V Look-ups
* Use of Sage 50 accounts, Xero or similar online accounting system
* Good interpersonal skills and a strong team player
* Ability to manage own workload and use initiative
* Previous experience of invoice discounting or factoring
* Knowledge of VAT rules in the OH sector including partial exemption advantageous

Hours: 20 - 30 hours per week, between 8.00am - 5.00pm

Salary: Negotiable
