A local company that manufactures fine china has an exciting opportunity for a graduate to join their long standing company. They are looking to recruit a Group Supply Chain Co-ordinator to assist in managing and co-ordinating the product delivery and buying process to meet their customers demand.

This role will provide support to the customer service and supply chain functions to ensure exceptional customer service standards are delivered at all times.

Duties and responsibilities

• Allocation of product to fulfil global sales orders
• Monitor sales orders daily to ensure customer expectations and business OTIF targets are met
• Coordinate with manufacturing operations to ensure production schedules reflect stock and demand requirements, and to resolve any issues that need to be addressed with open orders
• Provide regular communication with Customer Service function in relation to order availability to ensure exceptional customer service standards are maintained
• Deputise for the Group Customer Service and Supply Chain Manager
• Assist Group Demand Forecasting Manager in monitoring and reviewing inventory levels to support global market demand requirements
• Daily management of sales order dating in line with customer expectations and manufacturing capabilities
• Liaise with relevant internal departments in relation to order availability and delivery
• Generate purchase orders for complementary products to meet current and forecasted demand
• Provide data on customer inventory chaser reports
• Undertake general administration tasks as directed by Line Manager

Skills and experience

• Educated to degree level
• Knowledge of advanced Excel
• Proficient in other Microsoft Office Programmes
• Ability to work productively, efficiently and effectively with initiative and drive under tight timescales and pressure
• Excellent attention to detail
• Highly numerate and analytical
• Manage expectations with a customer centred approach
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to communicate to all levels of the business
• Able to work on own initiative or as part of a team
• Demonstrate excellent organisation and time management by working to deadlines
• Ability to share information and ideas with others

Desirable but not essential skills:

• CIPS qualification for Procurement
• Knowledge of ERP systems
• Supply Chain experience in an office environment
