Legal Secretary - Conveyancing

Every law firm, financial company or barrister’s chambers needs a good legal secretary to ensure the office runs smoothly. This important supporting role is a demanding and responsible one, but the financial benefits can be great, and you could find yourself involved in a variety of challenging and interesting tasks.
Your main priority as a legal secretary is to provide secretarial and administrative support to lawyers and legal executives. Your daily tasks will include:
- Keeping records up to date
- Typing up legal documents
- Answering the phone
- Organising diaries
- Preparing court forms
- Attending court
- Performing legal research
- Making appointments with clients

This is a full-time office position. While most of your time will be based in the office, you may be required to attend court hearings or a police station occasionally.
I am looking for a secretary who has experience in Conveyancing to support a appropriate Fee Earner who works across both disciplines
It would be ideal if you have either of the following qualifications:
- Legal Secretaries Diploma run by the Institute of Legal Secretaries and PAs (ILSPA)
- City & Guilds/ILEX Level 3 Certificate for Legal Secretaries
You’ll also be in demand if you are:
- Calm under pressure
- A great communicator
- Can type at least 60 wpm
- Computer literate
