Podiatrist - part time
Our private client is searching for an experienced podiatrist to cover 1/2 days per week of sessions based in various HMP sites in Derbyshire.

Our client works in offender health within a number of HMP sites providing physiotherapy and podiatry services across the country. You will be working alongside other health professionals in the healthcare centre of the prison providing podiatry services. You will treat prisoners referred to you via the onsite referral system. There are excellent clinical environments on sites with access to other health care professionals and good rehabilitation facilities.
Working within a prison can be challenging but also rewarding. It will assist you to develop your clinical skills, professionalism and personal strengths within a different, but stimulating work environment.
You will be given all the support and training needed to deliver the safest and highest quality care to your patients and you will be supported by a well-established management team
Required Education, Skills and Qualifications
Current HCPC registration
Due to the nature of the establishment, employment is subject to receipt of satisfactory references, enhanced DBS check and prison vetting.
Effective communication, organisation and IT literacy are key qualities and efficient time management/time keeping abilities are vital. You will be responsible for your patients care, effective note keeping, participating in clinical governance infrastructure such as risk management and incident reporting, participating in company audits to improve quality and effectiveness and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
The role is paid per session which is approximately 3.5 hours - with ideally 2 sessions booked in per day culminating in circa 2 days of work during each month. Each session pays between £100 - £130.
Salary: £200.00 to £260.00 /day
