My client based in Coventry are after a new motivated Team leader to join there team! My client is the leading provider of time-critical logistics solutions on behalf of global manufacturers. For your hard work you will be rewarded with a very attractive salary of £28000c plus many benefits! The hours of work are Monday to Thursday 19:00pm - 07:00am.

Some of the roles you will be responsible for are as follows;

 Be an effective line manager within a multicultural company, possessing strong commercial awareness, leadership, process, operational and organisation skills

 Keen advocate of team ethics though enabling independent operational skills as required

 Commitment to consistently delivering responsive operational and customer service excellence

 Prepare, validate and present weekly/monthly department performance and improvement reviews

 Identify process improvement(s) to share with the management team for potential implementation

 Enable and support the team to succeed with nightly operational discussions and leadership

 Manage department absence, operational coverage and overtime requirements

 Apply consistent monthly 1-2-1 team performance reviews and bi-annual appraisals

 24hr on-call weekly rotation to support in resolving customer/service issues and/or complaints

 Identifying and actioning team and individual progression targets

 Ensure workload is divided equally within the department and actively be involved in shipment management as necessary.

 Implementation of Customs procedures

 Ensure traceability and written record of complaints, additional charges and any other considered important information required at later date

 Ensure transfer of handover and all shipment files / status updates are up to date

 Ensure due completion of non-conformance procedure for service issues identified

 Ensure and effective training programme is provided for all new team members during probationary period and ongoing to meet employee and business needs

 Ability to work in a fast-paced environment in a calm and methodical manner

 Ability to source and present responsive and cost-efficient service solutions to the customer
