Job title:Billing Administrator

Reports to: Billing Manager

Main function of the job:

  • Processing of timely / accurate billing and cash receipts
  • Chase collect outstanding debt for LA’s and Clients directly

(Note: In addition to these functions employees are required to carry out such duties as may reasonably be required).

Main duties (not in any order of priority)

  1. Process billing across a national / multi-company Social Care Group
  2. Maintain invoice controls - ensure nil revenue leakage
  3. Process for submissions from Services for centralised billing
  4. Ensure billing is timely, accurate and complete
  5. Ensure prompt payments from Local Authorities
  6. Liaise with Local Authorities to resolve billing disputes
  7. Chase older debt and work with Operational Staff and LA’s to resolve queries
  8. Ensure new client billing details are collected and processed accurately and on-time
  9. Allocation of cash payments
  10. Answering calls to customers and clients

Systems Skills

  1. Excel Skills including vlookups, pivot tables, etc
  2. Strong IT / systems skills
  3. Experience of Sage50
  4. Experience of ECM2000
  5. Experience Webroster preferential

People Skills

  1. Develop effective working relationships with Operational Staff
  2. Support an open, positive and inclusive working culture
  3. Systematically solve day-to-day problematical issues which arise
