We do things our own way at Aldi. But whatever we're doing, we must be getting it right. With a wave of impressive sales figures behind us, we're opening new stores at lightning speed. Which means our marketing and communications need to keep up.

Aldi's store opening programme is one of the fastest growing in the UK grocery market with 70 new store openings planned in 2019. This regional marketing role will encompass the management of all marketing elements within this programme, working with regional property and operational teams to ensure delivery of the new store opening activity. You will manage the day to day workload with the agency, ensuring media planning is delivered to key KPIs, whilst making sure creative is on brand and delivering key messaging. Regional teams will also require support for store defence, so planning appropriate activity against spend will need to be delivered, alongside ad hoc requests for community proposals.

The Store Roll out programme, known as ‘Project Fresh' is shaping the future of Aldi stores. The in store signage and permanent POS for all new stores and upgrades for the existing portfolio will be managed by yourself. The position requires comprehensive liaison with key stake holders to ensure that all messaging is on brand and within guidelines, however due to the evolving nature of the project the capacity to multi-task several projects is key.

This is an exciting role developing the future of Aldi stores. Key duties will include the following:

Regional Marketing:
• Management of the store opening schedule for the year
• Planning regional marketing activity within allocated budgets
• Review of the store opening plans
• Working closely with regional teams to ensure delivery of planned marketing activity
• Managing our creative agency, deliver creative assets in line with the agreed schedule, ensuring they are both on brand and delivering key messaging
• Managing sponsorship opportunities and store defence for the regional teams
• Providing statistical analysis of performance to develop the programme moving forward
• Managing key stakeholders
• Management of POS for trials
• Develop considered, engaging proposals across key areas of responsibility
• Proactively stay abreast of competitor activity, channel developments and key industry updates

Store Roll Out Programme:
• Management of consolidated store opening programme,
• Liaising with key stakeholders and managing the process between regional property teams and the service providers
• Managing our creative agency, deliver creative assets in line with the agreed roll out schedule, ensuring they are both on brand and delivering key messaging
• Managing internal stakeholders throughout the process
• Attendance of site meetings for new store POS across the UK
• Ownership of the final approved assets across UK and Ireland

Essential Requirements:

• Relevant degree level qualification or equivalent
• Current experience working in regional marketing, either for a marketing agency or in-house
• Experience of regional marketing and providing statistical analysis of performance
• Understanding of POS planning and implementation including knowledge of statutory POS
