Digital advertising is one of the fastest growing channels in the industry and is one of the newest and quickest ways of reaching an increasingly digitally-savvy consumer. It's an area that Aldi have grown in recent years and this role is an integral part of that continued growth.

This role will see you owning the digital advertising schedule for our eCommerce marketing plans, driving sales across our wine and SpecialBuy product ranges available to buy online at You will sit within the Marketing team and will manage the day-to-day relationships with the digital media buying agency and the creative agency. You primary focus will be on driving awareness of our online product offering and, predominantly, driving an efficient return on investment across digital display advertising and paid social media advertising.

You'll own and be responsible for the delivery of monthly digital advertising plans that deliver scale and efficiency, alongside effective creative that will achieve the objectives and suit the media placement.

Key channel focuses will include display banner advertising, paid social media, non-broadcast video on demand, native advertising and some involvement in Pay Per Click. You'll have a sound knowledge of these channels and bring experience on how to maximise our presence through prospecting and re-targeting strategies.

Key duties will include the following:

Digital Advertising - eCommerce Product Range
• Planning and delivery of Aldi's eCommerce-focused digital advertising plan, ensuring integration with wider marketing campaigns and initiatives
• Working closely with the eCommerce team to develop the plan, understand their product priorities and analyse campaign return on investment
• Managing our media agency in the briefing and delivery of paid digital advertising schedules, ensuring that KPI's are agreed from the outset and that the plan is delivered on budget
• Managing our creative agency, deliver creative assets in line with the agreed digital advertising schedule, ensuring they are both on brand and delivering innovative test and learn, targeting and re-targeting opportunities
• Understand and interpret digital metrics - weekly and monthly reviews on performance of paid media placements and creative, taking forward learnings to future campaigns.
• Develop considered, engaging proposals across key areas of responsibility
• Proactively stay abreast of competitor activity, channel developments and key industry updates
• Experience using the Google stack or, specifically, Google Analytics and Double Click is desirable

Essential Requirements:

• Relevant degree level qualification or equivalent
• Experience working in a Digital Advertising role, either for a marketing agency or in-house
• Experience in briefing agencies, developing digital advertising plans and/or being part of the agency brief and approval process
• Good understanding and experience of managing, delivering and reporting of digital advertising campaigns, which should include digital display advertising, PPC, programmatic and paid social media/video
• Experience of using JIRA or another ticket management system is desirable
