A manufacturer of luxury car components that has recently had massive investment from their European Group, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join their expanding facility in Dudley.

Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager you will be responsible for ensuring that the company's high standards are met and maintained,

Some of your responsibilities are listed below:

  • Working closely with the Process Leader and covering the position when needed
  • Ensure all manufactured/assembled parts are produced as per the OPC. Validate that the process is correct and ensure that visual aids and checking fixtures are in place in order to maintain consistency
  • Ensure "FIRST OFFS" are signed off at the start of every production run
  • Management of non-conforming products by raising relevant documents and informing Quality of any non-conforming materials
  • Assist management with absence control by completion, in a timely manner, of return to work forms, etc
  • Ensure employee compliance with Company rules (eg break times)
  • Assist Management with budget control
  • Communicate Health & Safety, and Quality concerns as a brief to teams, together with communicating the weekly brief
  • Have a good understanding of the need for continuous improvement activities
  • Responsible for data recording (production/scrap/OEE sheets) - relating to manufacturing in accordance with current systems
  • Comply with TS16949 and ISO14001 policies

You

  • Previous experience working as a Manufacturing Engineer within the automotive industry
  • Good leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Willing to learn and undertake further training as when required
  • You should be flexible, dedicated, hard-working and passionate about what you do.
