IT Technical Account Manager – West Midlands We are inviting applications from candidates with proven Technical/Sales experience, supporting a growing IT Managed Service Provider based in the West Midlands. This is not a dedicated technical delivery role however the ideal candidate will have a good ‘Technical’ understanding of IT technologies and how they incorporated into businesses, alongside proven Sales and Account management experience. This includes being able to talk confidentially about Server Hardware, Microsoft Licensing, Cloud Technologies, Storage, Networking/Perimeter Security and Backup Solutions This role potentially favours an ex-technician / consultant with sales experience looking to further their career in a Sales role. Servicing circa 200 clients of various sizes, this role will primarily be a Sales/Account Management position to assist the business in delivering modern, innovative and cost-effective solutions to our long-standing client base. The object of this role is to provide support to our Account Management team, manage our existing client relationships, together with maximising sales opportunities within the current client base. As a well-established MSP with ISO27001, ISO9001, Microsoft Gold Partner, VMware Professional and Microsoft CSP accreditation's, you will be joining a professional organisation focused on high quality end user delivery. Responsibilities: Assisting the current sales team with technical pre-sales, documentation and proposals; Developing and expanding within our current customer base; Arranging quarterly review meetings with existing clients; Conducting Annual Support contract reviews with our existing clients; Provide advice and guidance to customers in the correct selection of products or services for projects; Ensure that our product/service offering is maximised to existing customers and that cross-selling is attempted; Gathering, maintaining and recording in depth customer information; Maintaining and updating data within the Company’s CRM application; Being a proactive member of the Sales team - supporting and sharing information with colleagues; Undertake ad-hoc duties and responsibilities as delegated by the company Directors Desired Skills and Experience Technical IT Experience; Sales Skills; Interpersonal Communication; Customer Service Skills; Attention to Detail; Ability to Track Leads; Accuracy, Patience & Self-Motivation; Organisation; At least 4 years’ Industry Experience; Previous held IT Technical based position, preferably with an IT sales background. Location: The Role is based in Kingswinford, West Midlands Salary Expectations: Salary circa £25K to £35K per annum (dependent on experience) + Car Allowance + uncapped performance commission eligible (OTE Potential 50K +)
