Food Assistant Role
Reporting to the Cook you will be responsible for supporting the catering services to deliver high standard of menus to residents within the Care Centre. The role will ensure nutritious meals and special dietary requirement for the residents are met. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to continuous improvement and development of the catering service within the Kitchen.
A recognised qualification in cookery is desirable as is an intermediate certificate in food hygiene. You should have knowledge of HCAPP and food hygiene regulations, procedures and awareness of Health and Safety requirements as they apply in a kitchen environment. You must be able with a range of residents needs with sensitivity and with consideration always, in a manner, that respects their dignity, independence and choice. In addition, you will be able to prioritise work under pressure and meet deadlines.
