Our client, an industry recognised food retailer, is looking for an outstanding professional and experienced Digital Marketing Assistant to join their expanding team. Working within an established team the main purpose of this role will focus primarily on Digital Advertising, you will also be required to assist the wider Digital Team with day to day requirements for the client's website.

Responsibilities and skills of the Digital Marketing Assistant include:

* Planning and delivery of Aldi's Brand & Grocery digital media plan, ensuring integration with wider marketing campaigns and initiatives

* Managing our media agency in the briefing and delivery of media schedules, ensuring that KPI's are agreed from the outset and that the plan is delivered on budget

* Managing our creative agency, deliver creative assets in line with the agreed media schedule, ensuring they are both on brand and delivering innovative test and learn opportunities

* Understand and interpret digital metrics - review performance of media and creative, taking forward learnings to future campaigns. Experience using Google Analytics and Double Click is desirable

* Proactively stay abreast of competitor activity, channel developments and key industry updates

* Develop considered, engaging proposals across key areas of responsibility

* Build, manage and maintain partnerships with key third parties such as Red Tractor, Public Health England, Netmums, Teenage Cancer Trust, etc

* Gather information regarding future campaigns and opportunities for Aldi involvement / promotion

* Manage the communication of key campaigns to colleagues, collating Marketing Plans summarizing recommended activity

* Maintain partnership activity planner and contact tracker

The successful Digital Marketing Assistant will possess:

* Previous experience working in a Digital Advertising role, either for a marketing agency or in-house

* Experience within a marketing role, ideally briefing agencies, or being part of the agency brief process

* Good understanding and experience of managing, delivering and reporting of digital communication campaigns, which could include display media, PPC, programmatic and website content

* The ability to demonstrate an understanding of the measurements of the marketing methods, including a good working knowledge of digital analytics and reporting

* A genuine interest in digital communications and in developing innovative, exciting digital creative that engages consumers

* An analytical mindset, with a keenness to deliver a good creative solution

* The ability to multi-task and balance a variety of different projects at one time

* Interest in creativity and innovation

* Excellent verbal/written communication

* Strong time management skills

* The ability to work independently and part of a wider, growing team
